 Nursing Colleges in Assam


Here are the important Nursing Colleges in Assam.
  1. Regional College of Nursing
    Regional College of Nursing came into existence on 3rd October, 1977 under the scheme of North Eastern council and controlled by government of Assam. The nursing institute, at present, provides nursing education not only to the aspirants of Assam but also to the people of neighbouring states; Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Tripura.
    Courses of Study: B.Sc. Nursing

    Intake capacity- 30
    Duration of course- 4 Academic years

    Eligibility for Admission: Candidate seeking admission to the 1st year B.Sc. nursing course must have,

    1. Passed the HSSLC (10 +2) examination and secured at least 50% marks in the aggregates in the science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and 45% marks in these subjects for the candidate belongs to the schedule caste or schedule tribes. Age Limit: 18 to 25 years.


    2. Only woman candidates are eligible for the course.


    3. Candidate should be found medically fit by the medical examination board.


    4. Selection of candidate for admission shall be on merit basis, based on aggregate marks obtained in the subjects mentioned above in (1) other than English.


    5. 50% of the total available seats in the 1st year B.Sc. nursing shall be allotted to the other constituent States as laid down in NEC scheme.
